So, I got my hands on a Raspberry Pi with the aim to put Citrix Receive on it… very exciting in a geeky way! It has been fairly easy to do, following these brief steps:
- Install Raspberry Download Raspbian “wheezy” from http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads And install it on your SD memory card, you’ll need this software known as Win32DiskImager: https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer/+download
- Download Citrix Receiver Go to the Citrix site: http://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/receivers-by-platform/receiver-for-linux-121.html Select the plus next to ARM, and choose the Receiver for Linux .deb file to download.
- Install the Citrix Receiver Run the following commands from an LXTerminal session: sudo apt-get install lesstif2 lesstif2-dev sudo dpkg -i icaclient_12.0.0_armel.deb sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libXm.so.4.0.3 /usr/lib/libXm.so.3
- Then you should have it all working…. or not?
There are many different methods, and it seems like all work in the right setting. So we’ll be back with some further methods later… keep watching….
